What does Adobe do with my money?

I give them $600 a year and in 2016 they said they had 9 million creative cloud users. Let’s say by now they have ten.

From the money we give them they can hire 14,156 programmers. How is it possible that their 2017 software is so glitchy, unstable and unreliable?

Did most of the original programmers leave and the ones that work there now are afraid to touch it and make too many changes?

Why are they wasting their time on shit like VoCO?

Whatever the reasons are, we users are duped and wasting our lives away after hours, unpaid trying to get our shows done.

I’ve been editing for over 20 years and after switching to premiere 3 years ago, I’m now working a lot in Avid again.

Avid’s interface is still stuck in the past but:

-Renders always stay rendered.

-Exports never fail.

-Audio never drops out or goes out of sync.

-Collaborating using Bins with a red lock / green lock works great. -Multi cam works flawless, good playback even with 12 cameras. -Avid is actually cheaper now and works on the same hardware. Fix your shit Adobe or we will take our 6 billion somewhere else!

The funny thing is that the dreaded subscription model that they introduced was adopted by the competition. Production company’s are choosing an NLE based on the needs of the production, not on what software package happens to be installed in their facilities. You can pay month to month so its easy to work 3 months in Avid, then switch for a few months to Premiere, then switch some systems over to Resolve. etc. etc.

The big 3: Avid, Premiere, Resolve, can co-exist on the same machine with same specs and hardware.
