Nasty stuttering and irregular playback in Premiere 2020 & 2021

I’ve been experiencing nasty stuttering and irregular playback in Premiere 2020 & 2021 lately.
2 things help:
1 Transcode all audio to WAV, so no MP3 or m4a or any other compressed audio on the timeline
2 Set input to no input.
